Glossy bauble

Hello lovely crafters
Welcome to another week at 52CCT. This time we are asking you to use a wood background for your Christmas card. Some helpful person pointed out that we are half way to Christmas so if that puts you in a panic, it's not too late to get ahead on your cards and have a nice stash by December, without the panic.

I took the easy route and used a piece of design paper though I do like creating wood backgrounds by smooshing ink.
I used a bauble I started to create for our last colour challenge and added liberal amounts of glossy accents on top of the brusho inks. It is simply finished but I thought that suited the wood theme.
I hope you are enjoying our wonderful weather and don't blame you if you find it hard to turn your mind towards Christmas.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Snowflake wreath

Hello lovely crafters,
It seems we are bang in the middle of summer here, we've had endless long sunny days and hardly any rain. Not much good for we gardeners but I'm loving the sunshine.
In the middle of all summeryness this we bring you a new Christmas challenge at 52CCT:

Who doesn't love wreaths? I'm sure this will be a popular theme. The design team  have made some beautiful cards so do take a look.
I chose not to stamp it this time but to create a snowflake wreath as I have seen others do.

The background paper is a dark purply colour which I'm not sure really shows up here, and the snowflakes are in silver and two shades of pink.
As I've used snippets, I can hop over to Pixie's Snippets Playground.
Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day and I hope it's sunny. x

Inky snowflakes

Hello lovely crafters.
I've finally made a card I'm happy with and, as is the way of things, it was really quick so the long time I spent on my previous idea was completely wasted!
I made this for the new 52CCT colour challenge. The colours are a bit unusual but I'm sure we will see some inventive cards from our loyal followers.

Here is my card:

I used one of my favourite techniques of stamping and embossing, inking then ironing off the embossing between scrap paper. Don't forget the paper or you'll get a sticky iron.
I stamped the snowflakes and then wet the paper and sprinkled red, orange and yellow brushos over the different areas. I used a brush to spread them a little. Then walk away and allow to dry.

I hope you like it too and are tempted to join in the challenge.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Noel

Welcome to another week at 52CCT

This week Andreja is bringing you a Sketch Challenge:

I'm pleased with this card but once again I wonder if it is very Christmassy? I like the subtlety though.
We'd be pleased to see you if you have time to join in before the Friday deadline.
Thanks for visiting and Enjoy your Day. x
