Christmas bubbles?

Hi Everyone,

Here is my latest card for the 52CCT weekly challenge. This week it's a sketch:

I've been fairly literal with this. I'm sure other people will be much more inventive.

It's not what I intended. I 'd hoped for a Bokeh effect but was let down by my white inkpad again. There are some white bubbles/baubles but they don't really show here.
Also I don't think it's very Christmassy. Tell me what you think. Should I have made them into Baubles?

July Rudolf days ( a little late due to ScrappyMo gadding about on a cruise) Anything goes for Christmas

  1. A lovely card and I like the bubbly effect, no need to make them into baubles. I know what you mean about white ink. In my experience, the ink pad need to be quite juicy to create the desired effect. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I hope that it's colourful and happy x

I can see the white bubble/baubles too andam sure they are much more seen IRL. This is a lovely card with a beautiful fanciful feel.

Thanks for taking part in the July Rudolph Days Challenge.

  5. This is just beautiful! Maybe Christmas is in the eye of the beholder, but the frosty colours and stars, with a subtle touch of gold, are definitely Christmassy to me. I like it as it is, with less white, but you could try white gesso instead of ink to get a clearer Bokeh effect.

  7. I think it did "bokeh" very well, and I can see the white spaces quite nicely! It has a most icey feel to it, and what a very good idea for a Christmas card! Well done! TFS
