CAS snowflakes

I cannot believe we are almost at the end of April!

Our challenge for you this week at
52CCT  is to use some of your printed papers.

For this challenge I used some turquoise printed paper which is sheer like vellum but not quite the same.
There are several problems with it. It is not easy to attach as, like vellum, glue or adhesive shows through and it also warps and crinkles with wet glue.
Here, I made a little frame and used a small amount of glossy accents to hold the paper and frame in place.
For the snowflakes I used paper from the same pack so it matches! I have had it for several years so it's very good to use some of it.
We look forward to seeing what you dig out from your stash.

I've actually got time to link to a few challenges today. We have had patchy internet for over a week now but hopefully the connection will last until I get there. It seems to be a difficult problem for the engineers to find. If only we didn't use it for everything!

April Rudolf Days Challenge - anything goes
ABC Christmas Challenge - I is for Intricate - intricate patterns on the paper and snowflakes.

I missed the playground gates by 9 minutes. Lol.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Deck the halls...

Here we are with a new week and a new challenge at 52CCT.

EK likes to keep us on our toes.
I didn't have the right sort of stamps for this so I did a bit of Googling and printed out the wording.

I used Kraft card as that was the thickness which would go through my printer. White was too thick but I am a fan of Kraft anyway.
I added the holly and my favourite Christmas lights stamp and coloured in a very basic way.

I know just the person to send this to!

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Shiny trees

Good morning and welcome to our colour challenge at 52CCT.

EK has chosen:

I had an idea in my head but, as usual, when I have a plan, the dimensions didn't work as the tree was too big. I could have made a bigger card but then I wouldn't have the right envelope! You never have quite enough stamps, do you? You could always use a few more...
Here is my card, anyway:

I embossed the trees in bronze, silver and gold powder and then added a red strip of paper with a thin gold Washi Tape strip. Yeay, using my Washi Tape!
The tree is Penny Black and the sentiment is Inkylicious.

I hope you have time to join in our challenge and build a little stash of Christmas cards ready for December.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Sunburst sketch

We have a new sketch for you this week at 52CCT. I'm looking forward to seeing how creative everyone is with it.

I confess I struggled with it, as I often do with sketches, and it wasn't until I turned it round that I was happier.

I know I haven't got the sketch quite right. Sorry EK!

If anyone has tips on how to follow a sketch, fire away!

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x
