New technique.

Hello and welcome to and exciting challenge at 52CCT.
I always like learning a new technique. I see so many I want to try but often, the ideas are stowed away and I never get round to trying them.
Rosi has challenged us to try the Eraser technique this week so I actually got on and had a go.

Verdict - I found it simple to do and it gave a very effective result. I hope you'll agree.

Finding the right stamp is the key. I chose these geese and had a little play on some scrap paper.

All you need to do is rub a pencil on some sandpaper to get some graphite dust and then sponge it onto the paper.
Being a lazy sort of person, I used an emery board which was in the same room as me, instead of going looking for sandpaper.

Make a bit of graphite dust by rubbing the pencil on the emery board and the rub gently onto the paper. Then rub away parts of the image to expose the white paper.

Here is a link to the instructions on the technique and a stunning card:

I really think this is the my favourite card I've made all year. I hope you like it and have a go at this fun technique.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Carol singing

Good morning,
Our challenge for you this week at 52CCT is:

I didn't have the right sort of stash for this so I used a digi stamp from Dearie Dolls.

It's a fun image and you can print them in colour. I printed it out and coloured with Pro-markers. So far so good. The I really struggled to finish it off. I've seen stunning cards, layered up with beautiful papers but I don't seem to be able to do that.
In the end I gave it the simple treatment with some stamped snowflakes and called it done!
Did through your stamps, dies and papers and see what you can come up with. We look for ward to seeing you in our challenge.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

May colours

Good Morning,

We are back with our May colour challenge for you at 52CCT
Rosi has chosen the following colours for you:

I used a set of Inkadinkado inchies stamps which I bought a couple of years ago thinking that they would be useful but I have hardly used them. Either I need to get them out and use them or move them on...

I just embossed with silver and then backed with a square of turquoise and added a brown ribbon. Getting it all straight on the ribbon was the hardest part!

I've used an Inkylicous sentiment which is part of a set I won in The Playground. I love the set and use it often.

I hope you enjoy using these elegant colours and come and join in with us.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x
