It's time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown.
This time it's a colour challenge.
Don't be scared, just think of it as red and green.
I've freestyled with this, not something I often do. I thought boxes couldn't be too difficult to draw!
I drew and cut out the parcels, stamped a few patterns on them then chose some matching thread for the bows. I hope they won't come undone. I've added a tiny drop of glue on the back of the knot and somehow managed not to get it on the front.
I toyed with various ideas for adding a border round the edge but in the end I just left it how it was.
We are always amazed by cards entered into our challenge, so clever and varied. I look forward to seeing what you do with this one. You have two weeks to play along.
It looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteSuch a sweet card! I love those wrapped presents. Yes, I'll admit I was a bit scared when I saw the colours!! :-)Xx
ReplyDeleteWe're easily scared. :)
DeleteThis is such a lovely card, and a great idea. You could roll this out for every colour challenge for the rest of the year, so versatile! I'm really taken with your sentiment too - I think I need to branch out, mine are all very predictable :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm just making a note of that idea! I bought a couple of Creative Stamping magazines in the Autumn when they had Christmas stamps with them. This is one of the sentiments. Previously I'd just rolled out the same ones though I did try printing a few. I like it very much, and the font too.
DeleteElle est charmante Alison, ces couleurs sont difficiles à travailler mais tu as magnifiquement réussi, biz
ReplyDeleteOh, wow..your card is amazing...I love the CAS look using the challenge colors. This card is stunning!!!
