Hello Sunshine

Hello lovely crafters

We have has some beautiful sunshine here and warm temperatures but I think that may be about to change. We remind ourselves that it is only March and carry on.

Here is my card for our latest challenge at Shopping our Stash:

Challenge 467 - March 29 Under The Weather - weather related or Get Well cards

Everything on here is from my little box of abandoned stuff. It was the background which started it and then I fished around and found the flowers to match. Then it was too matchy so I added the yellow, which of course goes with the idea of sunshine.

The background is made by embossing a stencil. I'm not exactly sure how I made it, or when, but it did have Versamark embossing ink on it and is sprinkled with embossing powder.

Have a search through your stash and see what you have to join in our challenge which runs for the next two weeks.
Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Spring is in the Air - SOS Challenge 466

Hello lovely crafters

There is a new challenge over at Shopping our Stash today.
This time we are celebrating Spring!

SOS 466 - Spread your Wings - March 15th - feature something that flies.

There are signs of spring here but I'd say we had a way to go.

As well as using one of my favourite stamps here, I wanted to use green and yellow as they are the colours of spring to me.

I've used two Ultimate Crafts flower stamps here which I've stamped a few times, coloured and cut out so I could mix and match them on the stencilled background. I think I've made a similar card before in different colours, I never tire of these flowers.
The dragonfly is the same set.

Search your stash and see what you have to join in our challenge which runs for two weeks.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy  your day. x

Just add butterflies

 Hello lovely crafters!

So I bought a new stamp. It's a Julie Hickey flower stamp and here it is:

The new stamp is just the flowers and I've added the butterflies so I can enter Mrs A's Butterfly challenge.

I've tried to use all the colours though some of them are blended together. In the end didn't use the shape or theme. I coloured using Pro Markers and then added some gold dots and plenty of shimmer on the butterflies.

I like a bit of colouring when I'm in the mood and this is perfect for that. Next time, I'll go bright! Or cut the flowers out. Or layer them up...

As it's a new stamp, I'm also sharing at NBUS challenge #36

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day.

Shiny, shiny

Hello lovely crafters!
Welcome to a new challenge at Shopping our Stash

I rootled through my little box of tricks and found some metal stars. I'd cut these a while ago from a piece of a drinks can. All you need to do is rinse the can and cut it open with scissors, the metal is very thin. You can use the printed side for extra interest if you want to.
WARNING - please be careful with the sharp edges.

I made the background by inking in pink and then stencilling over in the same pink. I then decided to add some Perfect Pearls. Cue me and everything around me being covered in shimmery dust.

However it gave a lovely effect which I immediately repeated on 2 other cards. I hope you can see it on the photo.

I hung the stars with metallic thread, added the frame and then the foliage (from stash). I also found the tiny star in my box of tricks and then mislaid it. Cue me spending 10 minutes looking for it and then finding it stuck to my stamping tool. It's a coloured punched star covered in glossy accents.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

I'm also popping in to the Snippet's Playground where I've been missing all kinds of fun. (Some of it was probably dangerous...) The sun is always shining and there are always prizes!
The frame here was made from snippets and also the pink circle as I inked it blue on the card base, didn't like it so then stuck pink over it. Thank heaven for snippets. 😄
