Hello lovely crafters.
Do you spend hours going off on tangents trying to be clever and then it all ends up in the bin. I do. I'd had a session like that then somehow managed to create this card which was the complete opposite of what I'd been trying earlier.
It came together quite quickly. A few stamps, some basic colouring, a little embossing and some glossy accents.
I did use a pale blue pen around the stars and stocking for highlighting.
Who doesn't love all the lights at Christmas?
I may have purchased a stamping magazine accidentally while supermarket shopping the other day. Careless. So these are all new stamps and I can enter the NBUS Challenge:
For once I'm also posting at the right time to join in with the Rudolf Days challenge. Post a Christmas card between the 25th and the end of each month.
Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x
Hi alison,
ReplyDeleteHappy Rudolf Days.
Yes that happens to me quite often, but I sit at the desk and have no idea what I am going to do and then the ideas flow.
Love your wonderful card and the design is brilliant love the starry garland holding up the stocking.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L. DT
Beautiful Christmas card design!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great Christmas card
ReplyDeleteI really like your card Alison, and yes i identify very well with your scenario of planning in your head and it ends up in the bin, and then you try something completely different and feel annoyed at the time you have wasted! I think we must overthink things! xx
ReplyDeleteWhimsical and fun -- great fairy lights!
ReplyDeleteI think we all have careless moments when things topple into our carts, Alison, lol! The important thing is to go ahead and make use of the stamps and I sure love what your mojo created with these, even if it wasn't what you originally had in mind. Sometimes it takes me a while to realize there is no point in forcing the issue and as soon as I let go, the magic happens! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
