Hello lovely crafters,
I've made a card I'm rather more pleased with. My mum asked for a card to give to someone who is 90 so I made this using the current CAS Colours and Sketches sketch and used ideas from Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge.
She always likes to have the number on her cards so I thought the circle was a good frame.
CAS Colours and Sketches - perhaps not as CAS as it should be. Sorry.
Butterfly Challenge - Letter D I've used Dark Salmon, Die cuts, Dimension and butterfly, of course.
This is a quick post so items used are on a need to know basis. If you need to know, just ask.

All sewn up
Hello Lovely Crafters
The challenge at 52CCT this week is:
I'd wanted to do proper sewing with my machine for this challenge but, through lack of time, had to resort to stamping. In fact I could have made half a dozen cards in the time I spent fiddling around with this and even now I don't think I like it much.
I used one small stamp from Creative Stamping last year but I've lost the number of the issue. I managed to stamp it 4 times to make a frame and use an Inkylicous sentiment.
I'm sure you can do better, you have one week to join in our challenge.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day. x

Snowy white
Hello lovely crafters.
We have a new challenge at 52CCT.
This week the theme is White Christmas.
I designed this in my head one night while trying to sleep and it actually turned out as expected. Does anyone else design at night? I often do but they rarely turn out as planned. Then sometimes I can't wait to get up and get going with it.
I die cut a square frame and then cut all the snowflakes from the central square so I knew they would all fit in.
There is a fair a mount of glue in places it shouldn't' be as I don't have the sticky backing sheets but getting messy is half the fun. I actually washed my hands in the middle of making this card which never normally happens. (I do wash my hands but not in the middle of card making!)
I'm not sure the sentiment fits the design but it fitted the space and was fun (excuse the pun).
I'm popping into Pixie's Snippets Playground to remind them who I am.
and ABC Christmas I is for Ice
I hope you like it. Thanks for visiting and Enjoy your Day. x

Purple passion
Hello lovely Crafters...
Our challenge at 52CCT this month is purple.
I'm not sure why I chose only purple and I didn't have plan but I chose silver to go with the purple.
I used brusho crystals and water and then I inked over to add more colour. Then stamped a Christmas holly stamp, script and some snowflakes also in purple ink. I've embossed flourishes in silver and then added the die cut flourish and bauble.
You've got to love a bit of shimmer courtesy of Perfect Pearls.
Apologies for my lack of visits to your lovely blogs, I might have time for a catch up next week.
Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Silver snowflakes and shimmer
Hello Lovely Crafters
Welcome to another month at 52CCT. I am hosting for April and this week I have a sketch for you.
I hope you have fun with it. You can use different shapes and orientation as long as we can see the basic sketch.
I wanted to use acrylic blocks for inking the squares but the only way this would work sizewise was on a DL card. Often the idea in my head doesn't quite work in terms of scale.
I smooshed Teal Zeal and Grape Jelly onto a square acrylic block and then spritzed with water. You want some but not too much water or the ink drips off. Then I used that to stamp my squares. I added more colour with a brush where I thought I needed it and also added a tiny amount of Perfect Pearls for some shimmer. Embossing the snowflakes was the easy part.
You can see a little shimmer here.
I've used a strip on inked paper at the bottom and then a few gems for accent.
I've lost the name of the snowflakes but the sentiment is Inkylicious.
We hope you have time to join in the challenge, you have one week and we love to see your cards.
I've had no time for crafting in the last few weeks and the next few don't look too good either! Perhaps I can squeeze an hour in one evening before I get withdrawal symptoms.
Thanks for visiting, Enjoy Your Day. x
