Mine's a Hot Chocolate

 Hello lovely crafters...

It's time for a new challenge at Shopping our Stash. We all want new stash but let's use what we have and make the most of it.

This time it's - You deserve a hand

My hands are in gloves which gives me the chance to make another Christmas card.

The hands and cup stamp is quite old and I've probably only used it once before. I coloured in a very basic way with ProMarkers in soft colours, attempting blending which wasn't too bad.
The greeting is from the same Creative Stamping set. I wanted a little more Christmas cheer so I used this Honey Doo Holly stamp and then some tiny snowflake die cuts.

Do search through your stash and see what you can find to join in.

I'm also adding this to:

Butterfly Paper

 Hello lovely Crafters!

I was looking through my stash of papers when I found this butterfly paper and knew it had to be used for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge.

I made a set of 4 small cards using the paper, some orange paper and a collection of stamped and coloured images which I found in my Useful Bits and Bobs box. (or one of them). I picked out all the orange and yellow ones and they all went together. They've all been made and discarded on a previous occasion so a double win for using the stash today!

The cards are all 10.5cm square. Two are thank yous as you see and two are blank to maybe add a message in the future.

#166 Spin The Butterfly Wheel with C for Collar Fun Fold Card. I have not managed any fancy folds but have used Cornflower, Celadon and lots of butterflies. Also a few circles.

Challenge #421 All the extras are snippets. I'm bringing some marshmallows for the hot chocolate - how to make friends and influence people in the tree house!

I think I'll be ok for Thank you cards for a little while.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Winter Village

 Hello lovely crafters,

I hope you are surviving the dull days of winter (if it's winter where you are). Today we have a glimpse of sunshine which is very welcome.

Here is a Christmas card I made using a Little Claire stamp. I remember buying it a few years ago at a Craft show we are lucky to have very close to here. I'd bought a few things but I just wanted something else before I left!

I've used it a few times but never in a circle and I do like the effect.

I masked the circle and inked a little blue for the sky then stamped the houses. I added a few snowy hills in the foreground but I'm not sure if they show up here.
I coloured with pencils and then filled in the yellow with a glittery pen and added some Wink of Stella on the snowy mounds and snowflakes (or stars?).
I finished with a greeting and a tiny holly stamp.

I've already made more Christmas cards than I had by September last year (which wasn't many) so all is going well. 😄

I'm joining in with CAS Christmas Challenge - Winter Scene. As usual the cards but the DT and entrants are inspiring and amazing.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day x

Love our insects

 Hello lovely crafters.

It was never my intention to create a Valentine's card for insects. It just evolved, as these things do.

But hey, the insects need our help. There has been a 75% decline in insect populations and they need us to stop using sprays in our gardens, grow more flowers and live and let live. I have plenty more to say about insects but I'll stop there. ♥

We have a new challenge at Shopping our Stash:

SOS 463: My Heart BEETS for You!

Use Hearts or Vegetables or both.
I looked in vain for vegetable stamps so hearts it is!

I'm sure I've seen a card with heart stamps for flowers, but I have no idea where, so that is where this started. I masked and inked the sky and grass and then stamped on stems topped with heart flowers. The insects came next and then the greeting using peg letter stamps.

A border of flowers and leaves to brighten it up and Voila! A one layer card.

I've used quite a collection of stamps from lots of different sets. The heart is Inky Doodles. Woodware flower and insects. Stems - Inkylicious.

Thank you for visiting, enjoy your day. x
