Daisy, Daisy

 Hello lovely crafters.

Here is a quick post so show a card I made using a Lisa Horton set of stamps and dies. I love them. Who doesn't love a daisy? And to keep it simple I didn't colour them.

The greeting is also from the set.

I'm not sure where I got the idea from, so no credit. I stamped and cut out the flowers and leaves and arranged them along the edge of the card. Then I cut away the edge. I thought the stripy paper was a good contrast.

Finally a blurry picture but it's too late now to take another.
I might need to go and make another using coloured flowers now.

I'm skipping over to the Snippet's Playground to show my face. Everything is snippets apart from the base card.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Posting time

 Hello lovely crafters

How is everyone doing?

Here is another Christmas card, I'm not doing too badly this year. I have a few made. I'm sure there will still be a rush in November to get enough done.

Time for another challenge at Shopping our Stash. This time it's:

I was just rifling through a box of stuff (no of course I only have one!) and found this cute image. It reminds me of Little Grey Rabbit which was a series of books I read as a child. I'm sure I've used this one and mentioned it before. I have no idea where it came from.

I decided to make a frame using my stamps. I drew round the circle to get the rough size. Stamped the leaves in distress ink and then filled in with a wet brush using the ink from the stamped images. Finally I added red berries. Then an green embossed frame around the very edge.

From my stash I used a scrap of water colour paper, the image, inks and embossing powder.

I'm sure everyone has some little animals in their stash just waiting to be used in our challenge. The challenge lasts for two weeks.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Back to books

 Hello lovely crafters

Here is a summery card made for our new challenge at Shopping our Stash. Where we encourage you to use your stash rather than to keep adding to it.

Disappointingly there was nothing related to books in my stash so I used a book page. It seemed a bit wrong to destroy a book but I chose one which was falling apart, so no good for passing on, and I wasn't going to read again. You can't help how you are brought up 😂

From my stash I used inks, Lisa Horton stamp set, Wink of Stella pen, fine line black pen, stencil and type stamp (unknown).

I started by inking some pages with distress inks and then spritzing to move the inks around. When it was dry I could stamp and cut out the flowers.

There is a little stencilling on the base card and also some stamping with a type stamp to fit the theme. It's very faint so you might not see it at all.
Then I arranged the flowers, added a few leaves and drew in the stems.

Finally you might be able to see some Winking on the flower centres and vase.

See if if you have anything book related to join in our challenge. You have two weeks.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. X

Who Knew?

 Hello lovely crafters.

I always wanted to be artistic and now I'm made a tiny piece of art.

Our challenge this fortnight at Shopping our Stash is: She Sells Seashells

Anything to do with the sea, shells or the beach.

I searched through my stash and didn't find one single shell or beach hut so I decided to try and paint something. To my amazement it worked.

From my stash I used a scrap of watercolour paper, a very old Kanban stamp set, for the grass and seed heads, and greeting from a Stamplorations stamp set. Then a Die-namics die to frame my little masterpiece.
The key I think was adding some white gel pen lines as froth. Of course I needed some birds and there was a tiny bird stamp in the same set.

I think on the whole I will stick to stamping but it was fun to try. I'm really pleased with the fact that this worked and how cute it turned out.

Do see if you have got something summery and beachy in your stash and join in with our challenge.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day.
