I've seen a few cards made with layered die cuts so here is my take on that. I like the effect of the layers so I hope I'll remember to have another go.
I die cut all the layers with nesting dies (from China) then stamped with my go-to butterfly stamp (which I don't know the brand of) on the top layer. I lightly inked around the edges but only on this top layer.
The flower is cut from a snippet with a coloured candi circle in the middle.
Simple and quick.
I've used:
Leane creatief flower die.
Hobbey art sentiment
Memento - Grape Jelly
I'd like to enter this into Mrs A's butterfly challenge where the current challenge is :
#79 Butterflies +L is for Layers and/or the colour Cream. I thought the card was cream but not it looks more ivory. It's not white! I've used layers but didn't use foam pads so it's still flat for posting.
I'm also skipping over to Pixie's Snippets Playground as I've used some snippets.
I'm just throwing this card in for good measure. I started it about 6 weeks ago but could never get it finished to my satisfaction. Even now Mr C said he's not quite sure what it's trying to be.
Well, in case you're wondering, it's trying to be a card.
I hope you recognise the stamps Mrs A.
I stamped in Versamark and embossed in white then painted in with Brushos. It was supposed to have a butterfly on it but never looked right.
I've used:
Joanna Sheen Beautiful Blooms
Tattered Lace edge die and JustRite small dies.
Hobby Art sentiment stamp
Paper MME
It's already winging it's way to someone so I'm sure she will appreciate it!
Thanks for visiting. Enjoy the Day.

Super snippets card Alison - gosh those dies frm China are such a great deal - I've just been browsing! Love the butterflies as well. And your Birthday card is equally lovely too.

Two really lovely cards Alison and I particularly like the Brusho colouring on your big flower. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to use your flower stamp on your second card. The layers on the first card really set the flower off in the middle and I like how you have stamped the butterfly onto the top layer. Thank you for fluttering into the butterfly garden . Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteFab both your cards! Thanks so much for entering your work in the Butterfly Challenge#79!
ReplyDeleteYour Brusho painting is beautiful. Will have to try that! Both cards are lovely, but the Brusho one is my fave! i like the arty look of the brusho flower.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards Alison, they are both so beautiful.

Hi Alison, two stunning cards, the first one is beautiful with the light colours and the beautiful butterflies gathering around the flower. I love the flower stamp you have used on the second card, the finished card looks great. Thank you for skipping into the playground this fortnight, good luck in the draw... have a wonderful week...
