Good morning lovely crafters.
For our 52CCT challenge this week Myrna has chosen Polar Bears as the theme.
I've used this Hunkydory stamp.
You might think this is the Northern Lights in the background or you might think it's a piece of water colouring saved in my stash.
It's was a trial for the cling film technique where you add colour to paper then scrunch cling film over it and let it dry. I used watercolour paper here which did not give the definite lines which a smoother paper would have. Anyway, I kept it of course, and it came in useful.
See if you have a bear in your stash and join in the challenge.
What do I think? It's not my usual style but I do like the inky background and the starry knitted jumper.
All stamps are Hunkydory except the holly which is Inky Doodles.
Thanks for visiting and Enjoy your day. x
I'm linking with
Jingle Belles - A colouring we will go. I've used Brushos and pro-markers
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Callenge - Anything goes or use some green.
C'est trop mignon Alison, cet ours avec son gros pull est si chou, biz
ReplyDeleteI like the background and the fact its not got the crisp lines gives it a more softer look for your bear in his super jumper. Love the little birdies, adds a sense of fun x
ReplyDeleteOh Alison - your polar bear really made me smile! He looks so cute in his knitted jumper. I love the background - you did a good job. Hugs, Gill xx
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome sky ... and your polar bear is quite handsome too ... so glad you came a-coloring with us at Jingle Belles.
ReplyDeleteHi Alison
ReplyDeleteA great Christmas card.
I love your fun image and that fabby background looks amazing. Love it!!
Love Jules xx
Your background is just perfect for your sweet polar bear. I recently bought this stamp set and was thinking of using it for the Polar bear challenge, but when I wanted to link up another polar bear for the challenge last night I could not for the life of me remember where I had seen the prompt. So now I'm off to link up my (small-sized) polar bear at the 52CCT challenge, but not before thanking you for playing along with my prompt at Jingle Belles.
ReplyDeletei always say there's no such thing as a BAD background, just one you haven't found a use for... yet... but you found the perfect use for this beauty right here! love that fab bear in his natty jumper as well! so happy you could join our coloring fun at JINGLE BELLES! ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card you made. The bear is so cute in warm jumper :-))
