Colour me Christmas

This week at 52CCT our challenge is brought to you by EK and she has chosen colouring.

I'm sure this will be popular as there are lots of ways to use colouring on your card.
I used a set of bauble stamps I bought in January and, am embarrassed to say, I have not used before now. They have lovely patterns but I wish they were slightly bigger for a better colouring experience!

I used die cut branches and popped the baubles up on foam pads. I like the colours. I hope you do.

When in doubt use kraft!

Hello lovely crafters.

I managed to carve out a bit of time to make some cards this week. I also wanted to join in with the Twofer Challenge - Leaves.

My cards look rather shabby compared to the amazing creations already posted but here they are anyway.
The first is for a dear friend who has had to move away to live in a care home. Sadly for me, she has moved near to her daughter several hours away from here. She didn't want to go and I hope she is settling in ok. I've written and old fashioned letter to go with the card.

I stamped the leaves and added brushos, mixing the colours as I went. I wanted to it be cheerful so I used plenty of green and not too much brown.
I love this look and want to try flowers with the same idea.

The second had me stumped for a bit. I wanted 'Thinking of You' for stock and eventually remembered that kraft always looks good.

So I just used gold embossing and kept it very simple (and quick).
The stamp set used is a Hobby Art one.

Thanks for visiting, Enjoy your Day. x

'Twas the night before Christmas

Another week, another challenge. Have you got a nice little pile of Christmas Cards all ready for December or will you be in a panic the week before posting? At 52CCT we are here to help you spread the joy through out the year and make your cards in a relaxed manner.
This week EK is challenging us:

There are very many clever and funny stamps out there but I don't have any of them so I enlisted the help of MrC and his artistic talents. I had an idea of what I wanted and he drew it for me.

He is a sweetheart and only has a hazy idea of what a card challenge is.
All I had to do was colour the image, frame it and work out how the get all the words on the front. The joke is not original, you've probably seen it out there but the art work certainly is.
Break out your funny stamps and see what you can do with this challenge.
Thanks for visiting.

Green and pink

We have a fun challenge for you this week at 52CCT.
EK has chosed the colours:

If you were quick off the mark and looked in earlier you will see that I've just changed this card. I wasn't happy with it so here  is the re-make:

Have fun with this challenge and we look forward to your inventive ideas!

Winter wonderland

Hi everyone
A really quick post as I'm attempting to write this using my mobile phone.
This week we have our September challenge at 52CCT and it's a sketch.

I can't manage any links and may need to lie down after posting this. Engineers are working our internet connection and now need to dig up the road.
Do pop over to the 52CCT big blog to see the sketch and the great cards from the DT.
