Hello lovely crafters
I spent yesterday morning dividing dahlia tubers and then treated myself to some crafty time in the afternoon.
I started this card with some stencilling. The colour shows what happens if you try pink and blue stencilling and then revert to pink without washing your stencil. A sort of mauve colour. 😂
Then I delved in my stash and found these leaves already coloured (with a brayer in a gel plate session I think) and a flower and butterfly stamped but not coloured.
I've used pencils blended with baby oil for both.
I finally added a few water drop embellishments.
My thoughts on those, having ordered them and waited ages from them to arrive is that I love them but probably shouldn't be adding little bits of plastic to my cards. I will use them as I have them but won't be using glitter any more and will have to consider what else I use.
I'm entering this into the current Butterfly challenge.
I've used pale blue and pale pink pencil crayons though in places they have blended together. Does that count or will I be sent out of the butterfly garden?
And a butterfly of course. I didn't have time for fancy folds this time, unfortunately.
I'll also hop over to Pixie's Snippets Playground. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap, I think the pink backing was also a snippet and all the flowers and leaves were in a heap of 'stuff' to use up.
Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x
A really pretty card and great that it covers two challenges - love it.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely Alison - and the mauve was a happy accident! x
ReplyDeleteHi Alison, there are no naughty steps in the butterfly garden . Love the happy accident with the colour changing. Thankyou for coming and spinning the butterfly wheel with me. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteHello Alison! Hope you had a nice Easter Sunday. Love the purpleness, my fave. And congrats, I see you won - I went over to look at the butterfly inside out card. xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card Alison - I love your 'happy Accident' as well. How very good of you to give up plastic and glitter on cards. I have so much of that stuff here it seems such a shame to get rid of it but I do admire your 'eco-care'.
