Happiest of birthdays

Hello lovely crafters.

We are in a state of flux here. Buying some new bedroom furniture lead to us moving what seemed like, every piece of furniture we own from room to room. Think we are settled now with just all those odd bits and bobs to put away or throw away.

The good news is that my crafty corner has been reinvented and, I think will be better, when I've finally sorted it out! And I'm promising myself not to put back all the useless stuff and to be sensible 🤣🤣🤣

So this card was finished, against the odds, with half the stuff in one room and half in another.

My latest card for our Shopping our Stash Challenge. Dig through your stash and see what you come up with for:

Challenge 479 - Sept 13 Hey (h)Ombre - Use ombre on your project (patterned paper or create it yourself with inks and stamps).

I created my background during and inky session, I think I inked the card with distress oxide inks and then used a wet stencil on top. I did try out quite a few things that day so it might not have been that at all!

I think it looks like fabric.

To finish the card, I used some die cuts I found in a box and coloured them yellow. A few more leaves were cut from inky paper. The sentiment ( Lisa Horton) is stamped on snippets, of course, and uses two more ovaledie cuts behind to raise it.
Finally a few gems. The flower and leaf dies are tattered lace.

I hope you like it, thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

  2. That's a great ombre background and the bright flowers really pop. Good luck with paring down your crafty stash. Why is it we all seem to find it so difficult to throw anything out - just have to go for it and not weaken 🤣🤣. Says she who sorts things into piles and usually ends up putting it all back to be kept for even longer
