This is unashamed caseing of a card I saw at Less is More. When you see a good idea AND it would work for a teenage boy you just have to copy. This was the original and this is mine.
I mis-remembered where the circle was on the original but I like the offset one on my card.
It was fairly easy to make but just remember to Cut First Then Emboss. I'm sure you would and would not have to ditch the first attempt as the embossing was flattened.
The top panel is raised up on foam so the 18 is on the base card. The photo is giving a bit of an optical illusion.
I used some grey board numbers I'd got in a goody bag from a show. I dabbed Brilliance Moonlight White onto them thinking that I'd colour over but actually they had a silvery look which I liked so I kept them like that.
It was somewhat fiddly to put together as far as lining everything up went but quite quick and easy really.
I'm skipping over to The Playground as I've used snippets for all of it. I'm actually going to remember to link up his time. Raincoats and wellies are the order of the day. Puddle jumping anyone?
Also I'm linking to a few new to me challenges:

ReplyDeleteThat's a great use of that lovely embossing folder and the circle. Great CASE and a super idea, no wonder you decided to use the original for inspiration.
