Happy Heart

 Hello lovely crafters.

Here is my latest card where I've deliberately picked colours I wouldn't normally choose, I often admire interesting colour combinations and then choose the same old colours when I start a card.

Do join in with our latest Challenge at Shopping our Stash where the theme is:
#489 Love is in the Air. Anything love related - Valentine, anniversary, wedding...

I knew I had this heart stamp but I'm not sure if I've ever used it. It's from a magazine set.
The flowers are Julie Hickey. Also not used as much as they should be!

I stamped and embossed the heart shape and then filled in with orange Brushos with only a little bleeding. Oops.
A tiny bit of stamping on the heart and then I finished with Liquid Pearls for a few accents.

I hope you like it and are inspired to join in with our challenge.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Icy winter wishes

 Hello lovely crafters!

Here is a wintry card I have made for our latest challenge at Shopping our Stash. Which is appropriate as it is icy cold here today.

This time it's Winter fun - any fun winter activity - skating, sledding, snow angels snowmen
Check through your stash and see what you have to join in the fun. You have two weeks as usual .

I'm also sending this over to Allsorts Challenge where the (optional) theme is Winter Blues

This card is dedicated to anyone who wanted to be an Ice Skater but discovered that the reality wasn't as elegant as the Olympics. 😆

Once I'd decided on the skates I searched through my paper box and found this blue paper which really looks as though it has ice patterns on it! Or maybe skate trails.

I added the gloves and then the snowflakes around the edge. Then the green leaves so it's not all blue and white though I do like the icy look.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

Pyjama Day

 Hello lovely crafters!

I hope you are getting back to normal after all the festivities and if you've had terrible weather, I hope it's improving.

Here is another card which didn't turn out as envisaged (I'll let you know if one ever goes to plan).

This time at Shopping our Stash we have a fun challenge and are asking you to get inspired by your pyjamas! - #487 Pyjama Day With a picture of your pyjamas please!

Mine are very pink as you see but my card turned out much paler pink than anticipated. If I were to start again I might try stencilling on pink card.
I started with careful stencilling to try and get pink flowers and green leaves which worked on the whole. For some reason I decided to cover it with Perfect Pearls so that toned the colour down even more.  Then I added the pink flower and greeting.

Anyway the result is pink flowers with green and that was the aim...

From my stash - nameless stencil, inks and brushes, flower die and scraps, pink backing, greeting die and more scraps, star punch, ink and Glossy Accents.

I didn't have a shadow for this die so I glued it onto black and cut it out. Good result I think.

Do have a look at the design team cards as they are really fabulous and good fun. We look forward to seeing your pyjama look. You have two weeks as usual.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day x
