Icy winter wishes

 Hello lovely crafters!

Here is a wintry card I have made for our latest challenge at Shopping our Stash. Which is appropriate as it is icy cold here today.

This time it's Winter fun - any fun winter activity - skating, sledding, snow angels snowmen
Check through your stash and see what you have to join in the fun. You have two weeks as usual .

I'm also sending this over to Allsorts Challenge where the (optional) theme is Winter Blues

This card is dedicated to anyone who wanted to be an Ice Skater but discovered that the reality wasn't as elegant as the Olympics. 😆

Once I'd decided on the skates I searched through my paper box and found this blue paper which really looks as though it has ice patterns on it! Or maybe skate trails.

I added the gloves and then the snowflakes around the edge. Then the green leaves so it's not all blue and white though I do like the icy look.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

  3. The patterned paper is just perfect for the skates, and yes I'm one of those not good enough for the Olympics, but love skating ice or roller. Your card is perfectly designed for a lovely winter card.

  4. Only ever tried ice skating once and that was one time too many! Been really icy cold here today as well. Paper looks just right for the hanging ice skates and I like the splash of greentery under the sentiment. Hugs Mrs A.

  5. Wonderful card Alison, the patterned paper makes a perfect background. For a couple of years at senior school for PE were had the option of catching the bus into town for skating lessons instead of staying in school. The ice rink was where Robin Cousins trained, but none of our class got anywhere near the Oympics! We did all get a certificate at the end though, which proved we could skate without holding onto the bar!

  8. I love this and the little greenery around the sentiment is so sweet. I'm a Nottingham girl and so had skating lessons at the same place as Torvill and Dean - just a few years earlier lol. Never made it any further though. Thanks for taking part at Allsorts challenge.
