This is me

 Hello lovely crafters

I had some strips of design paper which I was determined to use on a snippets card. Turns out that's not my style! I tried but it's not me so I went back to the white snippets and cut out flowers, just for a change. Coloured with the huge set of pens I decided I needed last year. 😆 I love colouring but only in a basic way, though I did manage a little colour blending.

I added a couple of bees which are new stamps I got from a Crafts Beautiful magazine. The rest are old stamps from a Christmas set. Showing if you use different colours it's summery instead.

I swithered about where to put the greeting and left it off in the end. Where would you put it?

I made this a couple of weeks ago and am just getting round to sharing it. I'm hopping off to the Snippets Playground. No photo of the snippets. They were just white strips.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day x

  1. Alison - stunning card. So those are the lovely bees we emailed about - in use - they are absolutely perfect! And how clever to colour a Christmas stamp in Spring/Summer colours - worked a treat and I would never have guessed. For thid card I'd be tempted not to 'over-egg the pudding' - and would leave any words/sentiment for the inside. Your image is so balanced - not surprised you were 'swithering' - what a lovely word!

  2. Fabulous card Alison. I love the stencils circle and the flowers are so pretty. I agree with Di, I would leave the front of the card as it is. xx

  3. Beautiful card and great choice of colours for a spring bouquet - think I agree with Di and Liz that putting words inside would be preferable for this design as it is so nicely balanced as it is.

  4. It's a lovely card Alison. Great design and pretty colours. Not sure it needs a sentiment on the card front - one inside would be fine.

However, if I wereto add a sentiment, it would be top right where you've left the gap in the foliage and using the Rule of Thirds for placement, with some of the sentiment being stamped over the top of the yellow.

  6. Superb card. Colouring is fab and agree that it needs no sentiment to the front of the card. Hugs Mrs A.
