Stash Sketch

 Hello lovely crafters!

This week at Shopping our Stash we have a sketch challenge. I have mixed feelings about sketches and also about my card.

Sketches usually imply layers, which I'm not very good at but they don't have to. I thought outside the box and added a cut out for part of mine.

I thought I'd better get a few Christmas cards done otherwise I'll get to Autumn and have nothing.

So I stamped, embossed and water coloured the bauble twice. Luckily it's a symmetrical stamp so I could glue them back to back with some gold thread between.

I've used one of my oldest stamps - the bauble, a newer one but much neglected woodgrain stamp from Inky Doodles and some holly stamps which I've probably never used. Naughty.

If you'd like to  join in with our challenge. You have two weeks as usual.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day. x

  3. I like sketches because they imply layers and I love layer, Super that you went outside the box and doing a cut-out, lovely bauble, and the holly stamp that has finally seen love. Great job.

  4. Oh my gosh that spinner ornament is super cool and I adore the way you've used the soft stenciling to create the vertical element of the sketch. A brilliant job of SHOPPING YOUR STASH!
