April Showers

 Hello lovely crafters!

It certainly seems like April here and we have the perfect challenge for you at Shopping our Stash. 

Challenge 494 - April Showers - Create a card which features a shower element - rain, umbrella, rainbow, clouds, puddles or a Wedding Shower or Baby Shower card. 

I'm looking out at sunshine and daffodils but I know that if I turn round it will be wet and windy!

I've used a Gelli print background and stamped over it. The umbrella is actually a Hot Air balloon stamp which I've repurposed and drawn the handle. I coloured with watercolour pencils and then added some puddles with clumsy blending. 
Love the boots. I live in my boots so this is very apt.

    I was going to ask what the background was, that Gelli print is perfection! I love how you stamped right over it and i would NEVER have guessed your umbrella didn't start life as an umbrella! so cool and clever!

    Very clever use of the stamp to make a brolly and a super April showers card. Bit more than showers at the moment - been raining hard and steadily all afternoon., wellies would be needed to go outside.

    Great idea with the balloon stamp turning it into an umbrella. I'm still wearing my furry boot slippers indoors. Did manage an hr out in the garden but it soon turned to rain and now we have winds and gone very cold again. Hugs Mrs A.

    Wowser!! I am loving that background!! And...such a great idea to use the top of a hot air balloon for your umbrella!! So creative!! What great inspiration for those who decide to play along with our "April Showers" challenge over at Shopping Our Stash!! Way to go shopping your stash...repurposing at it's best!! #SOS494
