I love gel prints!

Hello lovely crafters!

Another one from me with a Gelli plate background. Yes, I am addicted to my new little gel presses and am making far more than is really necessary. I suspect that is not uncommon with gel prints.

This one used inks and a stencil. Love it!

Then I've added snippet flowers in lovely spring colours. It is SO good to see flowers growing again and (whispers) it has even been dry and quite warm today.
These are Julie Hickey flowers stamped, coloured and cut out.

Two hiccups - I messed up the greeting so was able to use another snippet to cover it up. Then when adding a Wink of Stella to the bee wings, I suddenly had a puddle. I must have squeezed too hard. Being impatient, probably. I managed to mop it up and it doesn't look too bad.

I'm jumping over to the Snippets Playground with my homework - challenge always any thing goes but must use snippets. I've used white as usual and a small piece of brown.

Create your own background - I'm good at creating backgrounds - less good at converting them into cards.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day.

  1. Your comment made me smile, I too have load of backgrounds that I like but so many never make it to a card. A lovely Spring feel to your card, many thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge this week.

  3. A gorgeous background for your beautiful flowers, Alison. I’m someone else who has pile of backgrounds which may be made into cards in the future. You are not alone! 🤣 xx

  4. Great gel print background and the fussy cut flowers from snippets are very pretty. Gel printing can easily become addictive and even if the whole piece isn't what you'd like, very often smaller sections can be used. Never throw any of them out but like with you, they don't always end up as cards 😀.

  5. What a lovely card Alison! I must be one of the only crafters in the world who gave her gelli plate away after declaring it just wasn't working for me. So many people get lovely results and yours in no exception. Gorgeous flowers and the dear little bees are a perfect touch! Good save on the Wink of Stella 'blob' business too.

  7. Beautiful gel press work, and loving the colors you used! Oh, and the glitter mishap, totally what seems to happen a lot to me, either nothing wants to come out or everything! You did really well mopping it up!
